This stuff is GREAT. So I added a bit of garlic, maybe 2 teaspoons worth, and sauteed all that up for a bit. After the onions were just a little cooked I added some broccoli I had chopped up along with part of a bag of frozen peas and carrots- just to make my life a little bit easier. But I couldnt help thinking how much easier my life had been if I had bought a bag of all of these veggies already frozen..but such is life. So I mixed all those up for a bit letting them cook, and I actually added more garlic at this point and to be honest I think I could have added more. Don't shy away! I think it would be easier however to add all of your garlic to the veggies alone, not the veggies and rice (I'll try it out and keep you posted). Anyhow, my veggies began to look something like this:
Looks pretty nommin, right? Well once I was satisfied that my veggies were decently cooked (and not frozen still) I just dumped my quart of rice right on top. And then I kind of messily mixed it all together. So I mixed all of it up until the rice starting cooking, sticking to the bottom of my pan a little (I dont know if its my pan or typical of white rice?) Then, this is when I added the soy sauce. This is what I would not recommend going too crazy with. I did and thats what made me realize it would have been better to do more garlic than soy sauce, but such is life, and it was still delish. This is kind what it looked like::
There we go. I just let that cook up a little more, until it started to really look like fried rice, you'll know. When I thought it was done i just dumped my scrambled eggs on top and mixed that all up!! And then you know what I had???? Nommin' Fried Rice!!
It was soo good. I was excited, all of that ^^^ were my leftovers, and they fit perfectly into the quart of white rice that I had bought before. And I can't even tell you how unbelievably delicious it was when I stumbled home at 4am this morning. Easy and delicious!!! Right??
In case you don't want to read my ramblings, here is the kind of recipe:
However much rice you want- I prebought to make my life easier
Then-
Eggs- scrambled, set to the side
Then-
Chopped Onion
Minced Garlic
Chopped Veggies of choice really (I chose fresh broccoli and frozen peas and carrots)
Mix until pretty cooked and not frozen
Then-
Dump rice in on top and mix until it starts cooking a little bit.
Then-
Add soysauce and mix, and then your eggs and mix. I guess you could add all of this at once, thats kind of the great thing about fried rice.
Then-
NOM!!
